Customer Story; Xais Asset Management Ltd

Xais Asset Management Ltd has been trading since 2015 and has developed its own leading edge asset management system. They are an office customer here at Bracknell Enterprise & Innovation Hub, we have spoken to Peter Davidson the Executive Director to learn all about his company and why they enjoy being based in our centre.

How did you start your company?
XAIS Asset Management Ltd began trading in 2015 following the successful exit by the directors from the sale/acquisition of a previous business they had established. XAIS was started in order to provide specialist consultancy and software to the highways sector in the UK, principally targeting local authorities, central government and blue chip civil engineering firms. The company has developed its own leading-edge Asset Management System which helps organisations optimise their maintenance investment in the road network. Recently the system has expanded to include all highway related assets such as bridges, street lighting, road signs and safety barriers.

What are you working on at the moment?
The company is currently expanding its software offering further to encompass risk management across all highways assets and is in the process of opening its 3rd UK office (in the Manchester area) to service clients in the North East of England.

What do you like about Bracknell Enterprise & Innovation Hub?
Bracknell Enterprise & Innovation Hub offers us a central location in the town with easy access by both road and public transport to all our clients in the South East. The staff are all very professional and friendly and the provision of a manned reception area within the facility gives significant added value to us. The centre is operated very efficiently with fully equipped kitchen areas and clean bathroom facilities on every floor and the presence of the Thames Valley Business Growth Hub within the complex provides us with the kind of specialist business support services that we will require to ensure the continued rapid growth of our business over the coming months and years.

What projects/ambitions do you have for the future of your company?
In its first 3 years XAIS has grown from nothing into a company with 25 staff and £1.5m turnover. We anticipate continuing this growth profile for the next 3 years and are projecting a turnover of £5m by 2021. The company has ambitions to diversify into the international market and is currently developing business opportunities in the Middle East.
